This November, voters will decide who sits on the bench of the Michigan Supreme Court. This is an important race because supreme court justices sit for eight years. In that length of time, many cases will come to the supreme court, potentially including cases that will have a direct impact on gay and transgender people.
When you join us on September 18, from 7-8pm, we’ll fill you in on why the supreme court is so important and what types of cases they might hear between now and 2020. You’ll hear from experts with the ACLU of Michigan, Lambda Legal, the Stonewall Bar Association, and more.
Joining the townhall is easy, you’ll just need a phone, or a computer connected to the internet. If you join us online, you’ll see presentations from our experts and interact with like-minded folks across the state.
